VARS Seeks New Board Members

VARS is always adapting to meet the needs of the Valemount community.

Sometimes that means losing important members of our organization who can never be replaced. However, new members have new viewpoints and ideas which will continue to strengthen our Society.

Are you interested in securing and sustaining affordable housing for Valemount residents and can meet via Zoom once per month?

• 1 board meeting per month (1 hour max), generally via Zoom on Wednesday afternoon

• Agendas and reports are sent out the week before to review and ask questions beforehand

• Occasional emails to discuss minor issues between meetings, and potential opportunities for committee meetings, updating strategic plans and budgets, etc.

• The board is generally a governance board and doesn't need to deal with most day-to-day operational issues

• VARS has been a registered non-profit society under the BC Societies Act since 2017
